HUGHEY, Robert

ROBERT HUGHEY, who together with his son, Zaney Hughey, and Ham Hay were sent to prison from this county last October, being convicted of robbing Uncle Joe Hathaway of $1,600 in gold, died in the Michigan City prison last Saturday. He had been feeble for weeks.  He was seventy eight years old when sentenced to serve from ten to twenty years.  He was the oldest convict in the prison. The old man formerly lived on Silver Island where he was well known. -s
